So I like the object but I question its functionality.  The desk surface pulls down which is fine except my desk is usually a storage surface because I’m so messy.  I guess this would force you to organize or else take up a lot of space.  I can imagine this to be a great desk for a pen and paper kind of writer.  Be really messy and creative while in your flow, and afterward, store your writings in the cabinets.  Pulling down the desk is a ritual for beginning the writing process.  Closing it as a way to end a session.

Faarup Mobelfabrik Lean Shelf

This lean shelf is great for a New York City apartment, where space is limited and valuable.  I like that it functions as a shelf and a cabinet, making it more functional for small spaces.  The shelves are adjustable except the bottom one which has a glass cover.  The wood that extend above the top of the shelf give it a quirky charm.  The wood looks like it’s in great condition and for $40 it’s pretty cheap.  Get it soon though, because the seller is moving it to storage after tonight.

Antique Library Card Catalog

The last time I used a card catalog was in elementary school while learning the dewey decimal system as a prerequisite library skill. While you may not have a home library that necessitates that level of organization, perhaps there are other objects that need organizing.
